Hi, my name is Roger.
I am a volunteer at a charity called Gauntlet Auto Project. I would like to hear your opinions on a project I am trying to get off the ground. I am setting up a quad / motorcycle experience for disabled young people {11 - 25 yrs}, initially, using low powered and relatively slow machines. The motorbike would have stabalisers and the quad would have a seat with a high back and harness. (plans are to have a second quad with a long seat, to double up, so a carer or volunteer could be strapped to the rider/passenger). There could also be rides for young carers, (11 - 16 yrs) to let off steam.
Do you think this would be something that young disabled people would like to participate in?
I would really appreciate your feedback, as I need all the written support I can get.
Regards, Roger.

Hi @Roger,
It is nice you come with a project for disable children and youngsters .
I notice that any activity in which the disable kids can participate and get out of house brings them lots of happiness. I think it will work fine. Even healthy like to get mad and do something extra ordinary from time to time.
Just to have a fun. I think your idea will meet the expectations. Keep going and do not give up.

@gauntlet Sounds really interesting!
Do let us know how the project develops. If it all goes ahead we'd love to do a blog about it!

Will do. Applying for funding at present. I need to clarify what sort of seat will be needed for the quad and how to accomodate two persons on one machine.

@gauntlet one of our members @triker1958 wrote about adapting his motorcycle after he lost his arm in an accident, you can read his post here
@triker1958 what do you think of this project?
