    Hello, I am wandering if someone maybe able to shed some light for me.
    I have applied for pips, my telephone assessment was on the 29th of March the assessor said he was going to out his report over the very same day. I had a text yesterday saying my claim is with a health care professional etc.
    I rang DWP yesterday for a copy of my report to be told they don't have it. My report is with AP.
    Is this because my claim has failed?

    No, it doesn't mean you've been refused. The assessor doesn't make decisions, only recommendations. Only a decision maker from DWP can make a decision. 

    Sometimes reports are not always returned on the same day as the assessment. If they are chosen for audit then this will delay it being returned. They are chosen at random after the assessment and the assessor will not know when this is going to happen. It just means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly. 

    Once it's returned a decision can take up to about 12 weeks.
