After a bit of advice please.
Have just received a letter stating that my claim for PIP had been declined. After taking the onlne test for eligibility I believed that I had acheived a score of 6 for Daily Living and 12 for Mobility.
My rejection letter shows nil points across the board. It also states that my assessment report shows I am able to walk more than 200 metres reliably. This is the part I don't understand as at no time during the interview was 200 metres mentioned so I don't know where that figure came from. I was insistent that 20 m was the maximum I could walk before I needed to stop for a rest. I have been diagnosed with Pneumoconiosis and Osteoarthritis in my knee. Is it worth pursuing an appeal?

The PIP self test is not something I would ever recommend because it's not reliable at all unless you fully understand the PIP descriptors and what they mean. Few people do.
It's not awarded based on any diagnosis or about the conditions itself. It's how those conditions affect you that counts. Or get some expert advice from an agency near you and they will be able to tell you if it's worth proceeding further.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. Hi I’m new here. Like to ask advice please . Been awarded standard daily living. No mobility at all even though I’m struggling to walk as Iv had a large chunk taken from my inner thigh now have lymphoma and permanent nerve damage also had lymph nodes taken from groin. I’m unable to walk far due to this. I’m in remission from melanoma. Thanks
