Pip tribunal adjourned

Hi, I appealed a pip decision and it went to a tribunal, I asked for a paper based hearing as I couldn't cope with anything other than that.
Looked online today and it says this....

1. The appeal is adjourned for a telephone hearing. It will be re-scheduled on the
first available date with a time estimate of a standard time slot.
2. The appellant has asked for a paper hearing which is her right. However it would
be beneficial for the tribunal if they could hear oral evidence from her as to the level
of anxiety experienced and whether this is sufficient to attract an award of this
benefit. There is a Universal Credit assessment which is of the opinion that the
appellant has problems coping socially and going out, especially since her mother
passed away. Rather than simply proceed with this appeal, the tribunal would
encourage the appellant to attend a telephone hearing.
3. Members of this tribunal are excluded from future involvement in the appeal.

I know myself I won't even be able to do a telephone hearing, So do I say I still want a paper hearing??

    Paper based hearings have a very low success rate of only about 5-8%. Telephone hearings have a much higher success rate of about 70%. If you go ahead and continue with a paper based hearing you risk losing the appeal, which is what they are advising here. HMCTS do like to hear from you in your own words how your conditions affect you rather than rely on just the evidence you sent. 

    Do you have someone that can be with you during the hearing if you agree to that? You can put the phone onto loud speaker?

    I don't have anyone unfortunately

    Not sure of how this is going, if its a kind of warning that the appeal will fail...
    No award with pip. This was my first time in claiming, I claim LCWRA which I was awarded just recently via a paper based hearing

    Paperbased have very low success, and this decision really seems to be a warning.

    Thank you, I will try, But I know myself and I know I won't be able to do it....If I lose the appeal then I'll only have myself to blame

    Sometimes it's not always possible to make a decision on paper alone so they will ask you to either appear in person to have a telephone hearing, which is what they've done here. 

    They will know your difficulties and are mostly very understanding. You said you have no one to be with you but what about a friend? I can't predict what could happen but it would be a shame to lose at this stage.
