I have a son with ASD.  He finishes at college this year.  He is studying the BTECs in Law and Business Studies and has sadly just flunked a module in his AAT accountancy level 3 qualification though he plans to continue the course this year and will retake any outstanding modules in Sept. 2018.  I would be really grateful if @Chell could get back to me with advice about what can be done to help him into work - ideally in an accountancy firm or in some kind of business apprenticeship or traineeship.  He is high functioning ASD or possibly Asperger. THANK YOU!

There may be a supported employment service where you live that could offer your son support to apply for jobs/work experience and offer support to the employers to meet his needs. Alternatively have you contacted any local apprenticeship schemes-they may be able to help. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your reply, we have a meeting at the college this week about potential apprenticeships and can ask about any supported employment services in the area. Thanks again!

    Hi @Gin,

There are few links to disability employment specialists on this conversation: https://community.scope.org.uk/discussion/31751/help-finding-a-job-jobcentre-useless

    That you might find useful.
