Finally some good news all is sorted now took 3 months to hear from DWP compliance officer after looking at everything

It's because I recieved backdated money and still had some left which was classed as having too much saved but thankfully it's sorted now 🙂

If you're on Universal Credit, you can have up to £16,000 saved.
However, they need to be informed of any savings between £6000 and £16,000. There is a deduction in payments for savings in that range.

Same rules apply to all Income Related benefits. Council Tax reduction maybe different because some Local Authorities have a maximum savings limit of £6,000 before entitlement ends. Single person discount is not affected by savings.
