Figuring out my trueself

I'm so glad to hear this and it's a nice story to read and it's great that you are much happier and more comfortable now
I have experienced some slight gender "complexities" myself…I don't really like to associate with any gender, if someone put a gun to my head I'd say I was non-binary, but I don't actually care what pronouns people use for me and stuff
I did some sessions for psychology at a gender clinic where they tried to assist me in figuring myself out, and I met lots of people from all different genders and with a multitude of different aims as to which direction they wanted to take themselves
It's nice to hear of how accepting people were for you. I actually had no issues with telling anyone either, including some quite "conservative" family members, well I say "no issues", the only issues were my own anxiety and hesitancy to disclose
I'm interested in hearing that you did well at school. I didn't disclose anything at school but I fear that would not have gone well. In my school you were pretty much considered gay (which, at my school, was itself considered a negative thing) if you could read and write. 😕 I'm really glad it worked out well for you though as I find those years are quite formative and if you get bullied or things go wrong at that stage in life it takes a lot of unlearning and rediscovery to put things right
