There's a PIP calculator here that will help with that calculation. You will need to make sure you put the start date of the award and the date of when the money was paid up until. Also put what award you have and it will tell you exactly how much you should have received. pip-payment-calculator-form

lol the old rates being on the letter always causes some to be confused. I'm just waiting for more threads with the same question as it usually happens yearly.  :D

LOL I can imagine, I was so traumatised by all of this today and am very greatful for all your help. I was even balling my eyes out today on the phone with the MR DM today saying how can the assessor be so cruel to not tell the truth and that I had a recording to prove that she souldnt have given me so many 0 points and say I could walk 50m when it was mad very clear that I can hardly do 10m and told him I now feel I've been tricked. I hope it will help and am also putting into my letter also unless you think I shouldn't. I thinks its important if I have to go to tribuniral

You're welcome. I know it's very difficult but please try to put your emotions to one side. I don't advise you to concentrate wholly on the assessment report because that isn't going to help you even at Tribunal stage.

Concentrate on where and why you think you should have scored those points. It's fine to mention a couple of obvious errors and/contradictions but then put the report to one side and forget about it.

Hi Poppy Im sure you will see this at some point, just wanted to say sorry I didn't respond to your last message to me. I fell apart and had a mental and physical meltdown with this whole thing, it's really been tough on me, causing the doctors to increase my medications.

I have sent in my MR letter now after phoning them and will know by the 24th of June according to a text message I received,

I checked to see today that they had also received my letter and more supporting evidence and photographic evidence, they confirmed it had already been downloaded onto the system which is actually really fast as it only arrived and was signed for at 6am this morning.

When I called the lady on the phone on the MR line, she actually told me what documents she could see and they were all there, so that was really fast. Just a waiting game now.

I did point out the errors and untruthful things the assessor had done /said /written and I also told them that I have recordings which I had permission to do prior to the assessment, one that is video so you can actually see and hear me and the assessor very clearly in the assessment.

I then listed the descriptors of where she gave me zero points which I didnt agree with and backed them up with support letters and how it makes me feel and what difficulty I have, plus photographic evidence.

I also mentioned to them that I hope they can sort out these errors that have been made before I go to tribunal and if not I will still go to tribunal. I have nothing to lose anymore and need to make this go right as my body is failing me so much now and I will do it with whatever fight I have left

So just wanted to get back to you to say thank you for all your help and sorry I didnt respond to your last message but like I said I had a very bad mental crash which in turn increased the pain right down my spine and into my legs. PIP surely is a tough rough ride which it really shouldnt be. Thank you again Poppy

    Hope you are doing OK

Thank you, Poppy, oh I just wanted to ask but am I supposed to inform PIP that my medications have been increased, I did send copies with my MR evidence but am I supposed to call them and tell them also, or is sending the copies for the MR decision maker enough?

    Warm Regards

You do not need to ring them for this.

OK thank you Poppy, I just read it online that if you are doing MR they say you must report any changes, I wasn't sure if this meant medication increase also.

You're welcome. That's a little misleading because for PIP not all changes need to be reported and change of medication is one of them that doesn't need to be reported.

Hi Just to let all know the outcome of my MR, I got a letter saying nothing has changed after all the extra evidence I sent them for the MR, I feel that my case was not read and the way my conditions make me feel and stops me from doing day activities have been totally ignored. I am so wiped out by all of this and really exhausted. And now I'm having to do a UC review. I swear the dwp are trying to finish me off. x x

It’s not unusual for the decision not to change at MR stage. It’s just another formality that needs to be done before requesting the Tribunal.

At Tribunal stage there’s more chance of success at about 70% providing you either appear in person or request a telephone/video hearing.

Hello Poppy thank you for your message, I do understand about tribunal I just right now dont have the strength to fight, I am unable to walk and in so much pain every day, Im so worn down by all of this, and now I have a UC review to try and content with, truthfully its all becoming too much for me in my condition, but I do thank you for your message very much. Poppy is it possible for you to answer my question I put up under the UC category as I am in such a panicked situation that I might of done something wrong and am sick to my stomach with worry. If you could I would really appreciate it.

    Warm regards
