Report a change

in Universal Credit (UC)

hi all

i Have received an email regarding rent increase on the 15 June

I have tried to report a change on my uc but says the change can’t be a future date

How can I report this and upload the letter from my landlord ?

    You can't report a change until that change has happened. They won't accept it before the 15th June.

    Hi apples, report a change on the 15th.

    Because UC is paid in arrears - unlike HB which is paid in advance - your increased housing costs won't be awarded when it's due but your landlord will still expect full rent payment from you.

    April increases to my housing costs (and personal allowance) only appeared in my June statement so I've had to bear the shortfall.
