Permitted work decision???
this has changed last time I did permitted work they never sent a decision out.. they just accepted it and I never filled out the part of the supported permitted work.
I did this again. I sent it off today and I called esa to clarify the hours.. it says 16and under so I put 15.59hrs on my sheet and my work is ok with that with training and rota.
They said if it’s dead on 16 it’s not allowed.
Although she said they would send a decision out in post. It’s also conflicting because it says on form if you’ve started work already it’s still ok to send the form if your unable to before hand.
I’ve put my hours starting this Friday even though I’m down for the week of 10th June - training.. I wouldn’t start my rota until 17th.. I reckon I will get the letter by then.. saying if I got it’s accepted or not.
If they don’t accept it and I’ve done the training will they close my claim? Am I able to do a rapid one?
The training is paid. I’ve got tracked delivery with receipt so they can’t say I haven’t sent it off.. would this proof cover me as they have stated if you can’t send it in time before you start..??

You don't need to wait for them to confirm it's ok for you to do permitted work. You've sent the form off, that's really all that's needed. They may not confirm for quite a few weeks anyway.
Signed for delivery for DWP doesn't mean it's been delivered to them when it's been signed for. It's not treated as arriving until it's been added to the computer and this can take a couple of weeks, sometimes longer. Signed for delivery will mean it's been signed for by someone from Royal Mail sorting office, not someone from DWP.
The hours must be less than 16 per week and you must not earn anymore than £183.50/week. Anymore than this and your ESA will stop.

that’s great- so Dwp don’t actually sign for it? I will call next week to see if they proceed it- but your information gives me great opportunity that it may take couple weeks..
so 15hrs 59 min 59 sec is ok??0 -
I think 15 hours 59 mins and 59 secs is pushing it a little 😂

She loses all sympathy from me by saying that she's better than those who are "sticking their feet up and living off the state"
Honestly we've enough people slagging us off for being too ill to work without piling on each other.
Such a shame that they printed it in the article, it's such a damaging narrative...

The rules have always been clear, it's less
than 16 hours and not 16 hours. My blood reach boiling point when she said "sticking their feet up and living off the state"0
