Bear with me, I am not diagnosed but suspect Audhd. I've been looking into things and doing a little research as these suspicions are getting stronger the more I read and discover.

I've just read an article stating that autistic people are more likely to speak up in the workplace. This is something that has been true for me and has got me into trouble and targeted by managers as I can't keep my mouth shut if I see wrongdoing of any kind.

The article is a very positive one but I don't agree that employers value the "heightened sensitivity to injustice". For those with experience of the workplace, do you agree?

It's something I've really struggled with for a long time and would appreciate hearing your thoughts, experiences and tips.

I cannot answer in regards to ASD. However, when it comes to ADHD I do sometimes have an issue of speaking up even when I probably shouldn't! I have had to learn better social cues for when someone else is about to speak in virtual meetings.

I think good employers value those with a heightened sensitivity to issues/injustice. The issue is that many employers are not good.

Thanks @Jimm_Scope yeah I get that. It's really difficult with virtual meetings to spot the social cues and not talk at the same time as someone else. I think you hit the nail on the head with "The issue is that many employers are not good". I've reached the point where I think I shall just not even try any more and definitely no go 'above and beyond'. What a shame it's come to that.
