Hi @Levo 😄What brings you to our community?

Hi I came across your web site as doing a search as I feel that disability is not being taken into account with Housing Ass Mutual Exchange and extra room for adult not being able to sleep in same room as partner and I just wanted to see if anybody else had any experience of dealing with this.

We have a Housing category for people having issues related to Housing and disability here:
You can make a discussion there, explaining your situation (don't reveal any personal information about yourself though!) and the issues you're facing and people can chime in with their experiences and advice! 😃

Hi Levo, are you trying to swap with an allocated spare room or seeking to upsize to meet your needs?

As a additional room for a disabled family member who are a couple but can’t sleep in same room

There's no automatic entitlement to this and not all social housing landlords will allow and extra bedroom for this. It will depend on the rules of your LA.

Do you currently have the additional room I'm asking? Sorry I wasn't clear.

It’s for a mutual exchange on a I wanted to move into and it’s got an extra room we want to use due to disability

Do you currently have a spare room where you live now?
