PIP award
Good morning everyone.
I received a text yesterday from the DWP to say they have made a decision and I will receive a letter shortly. I called them, went through all the options and it told me my next payment date and the amount would be £737.20.
Up until my last payment, I got standard daily living which is £290 a month, no mobility element. Am I correct that £737.30 is the hight rate of both elements? I think it is but I can't quite believe it that I'm finally getting the help I deserve.

Yes, that amount is Enhanced for both parts. Please do be aware though that the automated payment line has been know to give incorrect information. For this reason you should either wait for the letter or you can ring them to ask what the decision is and they will tell you.

Thank You. Up until Friday, it was still saying £290. I've been checking regularly. Hopefully they haven't made a mistake

I called the DWP and discovered it was correct. I am now entitled to the higher rate of both. Not only that, but they have backed dated it to June 23 when I sent my renewal in. A rather large lumpsump will appear tomorrow.
My first over the phone assessment for an awful experience. The woman was very short with me, didn't give me time to answer and got cross when I got upset. I wasn't awarded anything, appealed and finally got lower rate daily living component but no mobility. This time was the complete opposite. The woman had so much compassion and warmth. Her parting words were "I really hope you get the help you need".
Over the moon doesn't come close to how I feel. I've literally just left my job because of my A.S and wasn't sure how I was going to survive. Thanks to the back pay, I can concentrate on my start up social media management business so I don't have to give up working altogether. Today, I also got my first client..... someone is finally looking down know me 😊
