My PIP is due to end in August. I sent my review in, in January & still waiting to hear.

I returned my form last November. My award was ending towards the end of this month. I had a letter last week telling me it’s been extended for a year.

I applied March 2023. I was told today that they expected to make a decision and I would receive a letter shortly.

I sent my form back in October and still waiting. My pip runs out in September 24. I regularly get text messages advising it has still to be reviewed and in a queue. DWP send out letters telling us to complete review forms then sit on them for months. Where is the logic? Leaves people anxious and worrying something is wrong. It would appear this is their preferred method of liaising with us!

My sons was extended when it got close to the award date. His payments are still being paid.

That is ridiculous! Was this a review or a new application?

A review for my son. It has been exhausting. He's been on DLA then PIP for 21 years since a child. I've never known it this bad. We've had a phone call, then a phone assessment and today i had to make a declaration. Hoping it will be over soon, but will have to wait and see.

New claims are much quicker because they take priority over reviews.

That makes sense, as my son has continued to receive his PIP all the way through the assessment.

Just an update on my review outcome which I applied for in January of this year.

I received this text message this morning ….

Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change.

I assumed I would have had a face to face or a telephone assessment.

I read multiple places its close to a year now the wait, but as has been said they will extend the award if needed, mine has been under review for about 6 months currently.

Thank you. I was just up dating on my original post. So I waited 10 months.

It can also depend on the region of the country. As different teams, and different assessors, deal with different regions of the UK. So some places may be taking 12 months, some just 10 months, another region may take a different amount of time. All regions appear to have wait times well over 6 months at least.
