wheelchair basketball: teams GB's chances
So what's the chance of our lads and ladies in Paris? I have to say, what football does to the average brit, wheelchair basketball does to me. I find myself screaming at the screen, right now i'm watching GB thrash Germany, Rio 2016.
As a bloke who uses a wheelchair I can relate to it more than footy, and besides I never really belonged in that exclusive footy culture. Let the able bodied lager louts have their footy, i'll have my wheelchair b-ball.

I have to say, I am not much of a basketball fan but I may give this a watch!

In the meantime here's some classic matches that were shared during covid by paralympics GB

Great! I wish wheelchair b-ball matches were on telly like footy, but I know this sport doesnt get premier league funding :( .

Yeah I'm not a big footie fan, I used to be until I shattered my ankle playing it, then I was turned off it funnily enough. 😆 Wheelchair basketball is loads better.

as for me never have, where I live footy has always been associated with a nasty exclusive type of nationalism and as a disabled bloke i've never really felt like ive belonged in that, ya know?

Yeah I get you. I only played up until the age of 14 and avoided matches etc. All the yelling really didn't seem like much fun.
