hi can anyone help me I’m so confused by what I’m been told by dwp!.
so since 2019 I’ve been on lwc and out of the blue in march this year I was told I’d need to be reassessed! On 11th June I had work capability assessment and turns out I’ve scored enough points to move to lcwra which has now been confirmed by dwp on 30th June so I asked about when I will receive the extra money now I’m told I must wait a further 3 months before I see any extra money is this correct??
I didn’t ask to be reassessed dwp decided I’ve not handed in any sick notes since 2019 as been on lcw and obviously not updated dwp of things getting worse but like I said they decided to reassess me so do I actually have to wait 3 months ?Any help appreciated

They often get this wrong and this is no exception because they are incorrect yet again. As you already had LCW you do not need to wait 3 months before the extra money is paid. It's paid from the assessment period in which the decision was made. Who advised you that you have to wait 3 months?
What date do you usually receive your money each month?

hi
So I spoke to universal credit on telephone as so far they have everything wrong on journal.
So it’s the dates I’m so confused as my assessment period is from 10th to 9th monthly
The assessment date was 11th June and dwp accepted and changed me on 30th June.
hope that helps its so confusing and to make matters worse when I was first awarded lcw I was not told it’s a points assessment and I would have got same points in 2019 as I did in this assessment which is annoying as I could potentially have had lcwra all this time but hey hoI have also read that there’s no time scale about how long you get lwcra yet I’m told il be reassessed in 12 mths

You didn't answer my question that I asked. What date do you usually receive your money each month.
LCW is about scoring points and you need at least 15 points for this.
LCWRA is not about scoring points, you just need to meet at least one of the descriptors for LCWRA, so the criteria for both is different.
LCWRA is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise and it doesn't have an end date.
They will give you timeframe of when to expect a review but it's nothing more than a guide. It doesn't mean you will be reviewed at that time. In fact, reviews for those with LCWRA have mostly been suspended since 2020.

Oh, that's strange because there was another new member in the early hours of this morning that posted with the exact same problem as you have and they also have the same assessment periods and payment dates.
If it was a work coach that told you there's a waiting period then of course they are incorrect but they often are incorrect with a lot of advice they give. When you have your statement each month it's a decision maker that deals with that so hopefully the LCWRA element will show this month. No money is owed.
In the meantime put a message onto your journal and remind them that you had LCW before the decision was made so the waiting period doesn't apply to you.
