Losing LCWRA?
Hi
I brought my husband from another country and he is here on a spouse visa. I informed Universal Credit that I brought my husband and they changed my account to the Join account , but my husband does not receive any benefits because his residence card says No Public Fund. I am receiving PIP because one of my legs is amputated, now I want to change my account from join account to single account because my husband does not help with household expenses ,and he is working full time, but UC deduct from my account because of our joint account. I was wondering how to do this and will I lose the LCWRA? And where do I start?

Unfortunately, even though your husband has No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) you still need to claim UC as a couple, though your maximum UC entitlement will not include any extra money for him. His earnings will still be taken into consideration to calculate how much UC you're entitled to.
As you're living together as a couple then you will not be able to remove your husband from your claim and continue solely as a single person because UC is a means tested benefit.
PIP isn't means tested so his earnings will not affect that.
