24th July 2024: new look coming to the online community

Hello everyone,
We have some exciting updates to share with you! On 24th July 2024, we’re giving our online community a fresh new look. This update will bring an updated design that cleans a few things up and fixes a few lingering problems.
What’s changing?
- A new home page design with a cleaner layout
- An updated category page which should make it easier to find and navigate discussions
- A few small tweaks here and there to improve overall usability
Don't worry, the online community will still work almost exactly the same as it does now. The update should make the online community easier to use (and break less!) without changing how it functions.
Sneak peeks
New home page
New category page
While it might take some getting used to, this is the first big step towards making the online community much easier to use. We'll also be launching some new guides to accompany the new update.
Thank you for being a part of our community. We’re excited to share the new design with you!

I'm looking forward to this and I'm hoping that it's better than what we currently have because sometimes it drives me crazy!

I'd like CALL FOR AN EQUAL FUTURE Election 2024 off my screen because the survey is closed and I keep clicking on it by mistake (the one at the bottom not the one at the top). I can't remember the sponsor before it but I kept annoying myself with that one too. Thank you Scope!

The IT whizzes have tried to listen to everyone and made some very positive changes @WebWaves …though I'm sure I'll be joining in with the confusion when it's finally live. 😆

Yes, I do like this. One thing about Scope and its members, is there are some that do not realise what Scope as a Charity and Scope as a Forum do.
Most of the "background work done by (" the new clicky words being used.") footsoldiers is done unpaid. They may not be seen on the forum all the time, but they work relentlessly to support "YOU" They sometimes give advice, because it is not readily available out in the big world, but most of all they allow "US" as a community to air opinions without being judge where any question being asked is because it is a cause for concern to you. It may seem trivial to you but for someone trying to claim benefits and is presented with a 44 PAGE document to fill out and find all the information that they require in support of a claim by you, as we know, MOST GIVE UP, even before they start, and except whatever the government and PIP or DWP/UC give them if anything.
Many things were raised at a meeting I had last night in Cardiff, this being one where Charities have been set up to assist people who would otherwise not get what they deserve.
How many around the country use or have used CAB or Speakeasy to name two others?. yet how many are STILL OPEN? Are budgets being cut so claimants can not get LEGAL ADVICE? YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD BE OPENING MORE, and then made a statement saying that you had some legal advice and even they are stating there are no issues in the assessment process when everyone here knows differently.
TO FINISH: I would like to thank all at Scope for just being there 24/7, and for the community we have, where judgment, is not in the dictionary, but discussion with members who have already been through this situation, and you realise it's not an isolated incident.
Change can only come from discussion, where listening to people's issues and allowing others who know what help is available, give you a level playing field and make sure you get any advice available, without judgment. If admin wish to move this to another forum topic then please do so.

Good morning @WhatThe. We've had issues accessing some of the back end to make this change but it should now be sorted.

Hi @Adrian_Scope
Please can you advise that the edit button has been sorted ? It drives me insane that no matter what, I cannot edit posts, I know I haven't made many posts but the none editing ability just puts me off at times. Thank you x
