hi everyone I’m new here so Iv told universal credit that my daughter was awarded HR care on dla it’s been backdated from February they have done my recalculation and Iv had a letter on my journal saying they owe me but no date to when it will be in my account, I was just wondering after the recalculation and Iv had the letter do you receive the back payment into your account

    Congratulations on the award, that must be a big relief? It can sometimes take a fair while for back pay to get calculated and paid in, but it's usually around 8 weeks I believe?

    As the letter has already been received on their journal telling them how much is owed, I wouldn't expect it to take 8 weeks from then. If it's sent as a BACS payment then it will be 3-5 working days from the date payment was sent. Sometimes they may also do a fast same day payment so money will be in your bank on the same day it's sent, though they don't always do this.
