Possible Call and Text from DWP
I received 3 calls back to back in the same minute from an unknown number. A few minutes later I received a text message with
“You've asked us to look at our recent PIP decision again. We will write to you once we've done this. As a guide you should hear from us within 15 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave have changed. Thank you.”
Does anyone think the calls were from them? I have read that they sometimes call claimants to help them make a decision?

Hey @HealthyUnicorn that could've been one of the assessors wanting to ask a few final questions regarding your claim. They often do this if they're unsure about something you'd written down. But I'd try not to worry about it too much. :)

Assessor? Like a person from the DWP? Are they likely to call again?

Someone who works on behalf of the DWP anyway, the DWP don't do the assessments themselves usually. If they need additional info, you may well receive another call, but I'd have no way of saying for definite.

This is the Mandatory Reconsideration so there's unlikely to be any assessor involved with this. The text was advising them that they've asked them to look at the decision again.
As it's a withheld number I'd say it's unlikely to be from DWP itself. Usually they ring from and 0800 number.

Yes. I wasn’t clear that it was a mandatory reconsideration.
The 3 calls was just a strange coincidence with the text then I guess.
