Son making own UC claim

My husband and I have been receiving UC transitional protection for a few months. Our son is now 18 and has just made his own claim. Will we lose the transitional protection?

    Child element for your son will stop but this will not affect your TP. Child benefit will also stop.

    Thanks. Should I let UC know ? Or will they action it now he's got his own claim ??
