Problems with Universal Credit
My statement was due yesterday and am due to get paid Friday. No statement so far so am panicking as my rent and bills are due next week. I started self employment 13 July and don't have a meeting with a self employment work coach til this Friday.
I am panicking because it says on the Gov website I must report business income and expenses each month but wasn't told to and I should have had an email or text to tell me to do that and didn't get any. There is nowhere on my UC journal to report all of this. I haven't had any takings at all yet.

It may just be late, this does happen sometimes. If you haven't received it by tomorrow put a message on your journal under service issues and tell them you haven't received it.
You will not need to report any earnings or expenses until you've been for your gateway appointment with a work coach because you're newly self employed.

Thank you so much! I've been so worried.

I left messages on my UC journal and no one got back to me so I called the Helpline. I was advised that because I reported I am self employed from 13 July (even though I haven't actually had any business yet) my statement and payment won't appear until after my Gateway appointment tomorrow. It's unfair that it's taken them this long to see me and not my fault! They have to see if I am gainfully self employed, which I am not. I am renting a therapy room for 4 hours a week only for massage and don't expect to make much money from it. I thought this would be a good idea as I am qualified in Massage and because of being sight impaired, it's something I can do even with no decent vision in either eye. I am so stressed because I don't expect to get paid tomorrow for my UC. My rent and bills go out from 27th of each month.
