managed migration from Esa wrag to uc

hi im due to migrate over to uc by 19th october just looking for a bit of help in regards to this. At the moment i receive esa in the wrag group . I have twin boys both receiving high rate dla . When i move over i know my partner can claim carers element for one will i be allowed to claim carers element for the other or not . Thanks in advance for any help .

If their DLA includes either mid/high rate care then yes both of you will be able to claim carers element each.

I’m assuming you’re claiming Tax credits as well and that’s the reason for your migration.
Are either of you claiming carers allowance? If so then that will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.
