PIP award amount confusion

Hello,
I’m a bit confused and I’m hoping someone might know the answer. I’ve been awarded pip at the standard rate and the letter says I will get £68.10 weekly however everything I see online says the amount is £72.65. Is this because I applied before April when it changed?

That will be the usual thing that happens every year around this time for those that applied before the April increase. The award letter will only tell you the old rates, it won't tell you both rates. The money that's owed to you will be a mixture of old and new rates.
Going forward, your 4 weekly amount will be the new rates.

Thank you, that’s really helpful!
