No problem. The appointment being canceled will be because of the carers element. If there's any money owed it will be paid as a separate payment.

hello Poppy,
we cant see our payment on the system and we supposed to see it by now, its been a few days. The payment will definitely be delayed as no payments are showing up, I wrote them in the morning and had no response. Can the reason be reported careers element? But we done it a good few weeks ago. He also reported his income ect. What could be the reason of the late payment, can you suggest?
Thank you

Have you received your payment yet? In a previous comment you said payment date is 4th of every month so I would have expected you to have received your payment today because the 4th is Sunday. When payment is due on a weekend or bank holiday you would usually receive your money on the Friday before. This is assuming you were entitled to money for this month.
Put a message on your journal under the payment section and tell them you haven't received your statement yet.
I'm afraid I can't tell you what may have happened here.

No problem. The only issue when you ring them is the helpline will only be able to do what you do and that's put a message onto your journal. Try putting the message under "service issues" a case manager may see that.

hi Poppy,
We haven’t received no payment or any reply from them… i called the number and they “escalated” it. Told me some manager will call me by tomorrow 6pm and if no, then I need to call the number again for ir to get escalated again. The issue is we have rent to pay + council tax which I am already late to pay. The lady on the phone said it might be because of careers element, but we done it 3+ weeks ago and I thought they would still pay normally and pay the careers element backdated if they havent sorted it by the payment day? Very confusing. No one replies me in the journal, waiting for the call :(

hello Poppy,
the payments are sorted now, its been a delay because they added the carers element. I ve asked if we will receive it back dated and the agent replied if we want that, we will need to explain why we want it backdated, why havent we done it in January? To be fait the only reason we didn’t know we are entitled. Is that enough of the reason? I dont know what to reply.
thank you0 -
shall I just say that we didn’t know and see what happens?

Just put a message onto your journal under the payment section and ask for carers element to be backdated. It will need to go to a decision maker to make the final decision. It may take a few weeks for this to happen. Once a decision is made you'll receive a letter onto your journal.
