After 2 months in Disability and health services they have written a report on the amount of Disability but no one is allowed to tell you if or not you get an award and to wait for a letter from DWP iidb. Most frustrating

I'm glad things are now moving forward, but I do agree it's so frustrating being told to just wait around. When you've waited for so long already! Hopefully you get something in your favour that is an amount you deserve! @woolywonder

Well it's all nearly at an end with 100% disability for life awarded and a claim for constant attendance allowance given. However, I didn't ask for it and every pound given is taken off pip daily living pound for pound.

That's good news! Yes, you can't receive both at the same time if the CAA is a higher award than your PIP. If it's a lower amount then you can receive the difference for the PIP to top it up. If it's a higher amount then surely that's a good thing?
If you're claiming the mobility part of PIP this isn't affected.

One more update. Unlike other benefits who start paying you weekly straight away. iidb do opposite and contact ESA and PIP before paying out. Disgusting when you are expecting that money and you've, rightly, given notice to council tax etc . Anyone with iidb how long to pay out after descion on your claim. For me it's a week today and nothing.

It's now 17 days after the descion on my iidb. I've nit seen a penny. They keep saying ESA and pip won't talk back to them even though they are using tried and tested and worn out ways of doing so. At what point do i complain?

Sorry you're still waiting @woolywonder. I'm afraid I'm not too sure what the timelines are for IIDB as it's not an area I'm too familiar with, but I just wanted to say that I hope it comes through sooner rather than later. It might be worth lodging a complaint or even speaking to your MP to see if they can hurry things along a bit. Fingers crossed you're not waiting too much longer.

Yesterday I had rang iidb twice. Good job I did. 1st call lump arrears sum wasn't back so again I gave account detail of the new account. I had already done this on 12th. The day after they rang me out of the blue and said they'd sent the near 20k to me. They had done so before checking my account details with me. On the 2nd call at lunchtime the large backpayment was back with them or so they said. They told me they wanted to send it out to the same closed account as all of sudden they told me there was no updated address on the system! Again my anxiety hit the roof with this and I gave my account details correctly yet again.. then on a Tuesday lunchtime they said the lump sum would be sent today Wednesday but was told I'd get it on Friday. I think it should arrive after that on Monday because they didn't process it on thr previous Tuesday lunchtime. I will call them again today and ask them when I will get my payment in arrears.
On the 11th I was told first regular weekly amount would be paid on18th. 17TH CALL its paid IN ARREARS
[Rang iidb at just after 9am spoke to Ruth who tells me the back payment is not back and the 221.50 weekly payment was also returned and it's back! They will do a same day payment. Call back from team Had call back from iidb. Didn't know anything about my claim and steve handling my claim was off and not back til tomorrow Thursday. He will call back tomorrow between 9am and 1pm Am out of food and no money to buy any due to their iidb intransigence and wrong information.0 -
Phew paid this morning by faster payments.
