Hi everyone I hope all of you are doing well
I had a pip assessment on Monday omg was so stressed, the assessor wa's putting psychological pressure on me I was saying just yes in the end I want just to finish it😩😩 I don't know why they ddoing this if there is a lot of evidence of my illness.

PIP isn't about a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect you that count. A diagnosis is often not in question anyway.
The most important part of a PIP claim is the form you fill in. The more relevant information you give, the less chance there is of an assessment. If not enough of information is given then an assessment is likely and if you didn't give much information In the form the assessment is likely to be longer.

Hi Poppy, I know is not about the diagnosis but she stopped me when I was trying to explain my difficulties. knowledge, someone with this illness how they life can be as normal of my experience with my illnesses my life chenged 99%

If you felt like you were being pressured or stopped from answering how you felt you should contact the assessor and make a complaint about how your assessment was carried out @laghzaoui. As PIP is about how you're affected how can the assessment have been proper if you weren't allowed to properly answer how your conditions affect you?

Where did you get that from? Nothing has been announced about what may or may not happen. Seriously, all this speculation is just ridiculous now.

I just applied for PIP using the online form. Have you only just had the assessment or are you now receiving your PIP benefit payment yet? If it's the latter, how long did it take from applying until you received your first payment?

It can take anything up to about 6 months for a decision to be made. You will likely need an assessment because most people have them. They are mostly by telephone but some are face to face or video call.

it’s not speculation they have said that in October budget benefits will be affected and cuts will be made

i sent my birth certificate off to apply for pip on the 30th august, freepost second class i received a letter on the 8th which was written on the second to send birth certificate by the 19th of september, i assumed my certificate arrived around the second and was just sitting to be looked at, does anyone know how long it takes to get birth certificate back, it has been over 3 weeks now, thanks very much.

It is speculation because Labour have not said what their intentions are regarding pip and none of us will know what they decide to do until an announcement is made so until then it is speculation.

3 weeks isn't long to be waiting. It can take anything up to 2 weeks for it to be added to the system and for it to be actioned. Then it can take up to 2 weeks for you to receive it back once it's sent. Therefore it could take several weeks.

thanku yes i got through on the phone and it isn't in the system yet, just hope they got it so i dont need to pay for another certificate.

Hi @laghzaoui, do you mean if the assessment report says you should score a point, can the DWP decide you actually don't score it?
They can decide to not award the point. They don't have to follow the assessors report exactly.
If this happens and you disagree, you can of course submit a Mandatory Reconsideration appeal
