LCWRA Payment, when will I receive my first LCWRA payment?

Hi everyone,

I was hoping you could help as I'm really struggling to work out when I will receive my first LCWRA payment. 

I sent in my first sick note on the 22nd May 2023 which covered through to November 2023. 

I was notified by UC in a letter dated the 5th of August 2023 that I was entitled to LCWRA payments after being assessed. 

My UC assessment period is the 18th to the 17th of each month, with my statements being created on the 20th, then paid on the 24th.

    If the 22nd May was the same date you reported your health condition then your waiting period will be as follows.

    June/July, July/Aug, Aug/Sept.. LCWRA starts from AP 18th Sept to 17th Oct and first payment will be 24th October. No LCWRA element is owed.

    If you reported your health condition at the start of May AP then your first payment will be 24th Sept. Either way, there's no LCWRA element owed.

    My advice is assuming you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives the LCWRA element on your claim.

    What date do you usually receive your money each month?

    Did you continue to provide fit notes without any gaps up until a decision was made?
