Car tax pip on enhanced mobility

My husband gets enhanced mobility on pip and he got free car tax we have since sold his car and we now have a new car but it's in my name we don't know how to go about claiming the free car tax now does the car have to be in.his name

The car doesn't have to be in his name. You can be his nominated driver. But the car can only be used for the purposes of the disabled person if you change to disabled tax class.

As you're also taxing a new vehicle your husband will need to contact PIP to ask them to send him another Certificate Of Entitlement because he won't be able to use the previous one.
