Tribunal date today - DONE PHEWW
I first applied in 2022 declined so did a MR declined asked to go tribunal which was today. They absolutely grilled me didn’t think it went well but then checked my online account and been accepted standard on both. I’m so so happy and relieved it’s all over. Question is how long roughly will back pay take and what happens now pls xxx

A big well done, you can relax now. I believe back payments can take around 8 weeks.

thank you so much this whole process has made me feel so much more poorly 😩😩 also been diagnosed with further issues during this process that I couldn’t talk about which is fine, as I just wanted it all over with. There were so many times I nearly threw the towel in as the stress was to much. I’m just so glad it’s over with now xx can dwp go against the tribunal decision though? Xx

Great news. They can't go against the decision because they think it's wrong. They do have the same chance we do to appeal the decision but they can only do this on error of law.
To find that error they first need to request the Statement of Reasons (SOR) and Record of Proceedings (ROP) within 1 month of the date of the decision.
Requesting them doesn't mean they are appealing. They sometimes request them but rarely appeal it.
It can take anything up to 8 weeks for the award to be put into payment and pay what is owed. They will contact you at some point to ask if you've been in prison or hospital. Sometime after that they will pay what is owed.

I can’t call as I hate speaking on the phone. I’ve been told about a automated number which I called but someone answered so I put the phone down xxxx

The problem with this is that all areas will be different. Timescales are up to 8 weeks after a Tribunal decision.

So although we have had our tribunal overturned in our favour the stress is still there untill it finally hits our accounts or if there in black and white from dwp 😩😩😩 they are awfull xx
