The exemptions are, if you claimed UC and transferred from ESA and were already in the Support Group, or you're claiming because of end of life, with 12 months or less left to live, or this is a review and you already had Limited capability for work. (LCW)

You're welcome. I'm sorry to hear that. If you can answer some questions I'll be able to advise when the extra money is paid from.

1/ What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?

2/ What date do you usually receive your money each month?

3/ Did you provide fit notes without any gaps up until the decision was made?

You didn't answer the question about gaps? Gaps in fit notes can affect when the extra money is paid from.

Was that the date on the fit note or the date you actually provided it? It's the date you provide it that counts.

If there were no gaps and you provided the fit note on 1st May your waiting period will be as follows…

June/July, July/Aug, Aug/Sept.. LCWRA starts from assessment period Sept to Oct and first payment will be 6th Nov. No LCWRA element is owed.

Yes, I thought it was backdated. my question was what date did you actually provide that fit note? You still haven't answered that question and I can't give exact advice without that information. You can look back on your journal to see what date you actually provided it.

You will not longer be affected from the benefit cap once the extra money starts.
