Notify UC Terminated from Job after long term sickness.
Hi, I'm new to the site, so hi everyone. I've been on long term sick from Aug 23, already awarded LCWRA, my employer ended my employment few week ago, and was told to inform UC via my Journal but the process is confusing, the question "will I receive any income from this employment within the next month, if so how much" couldn't answer because I don't know how much my termination pay is, neither do payroll until they work it out. I've left the same question on my journal for over 2 weeks no reply. How am I best sorting this out, do I wait until I've actually received my termination pay to let them know. Thanks.

Wait until you know how much youโre receiving. Your employer should report any final earnings to HMRC anyway and UC will check with those.
Any earnings received outside of your work allowance will affect you UC in the assessment period in which you receive it.

Thankyou, that makes sense, why couldn't someone at UC just say that. Thanks again.

Welcome to the community @skyebird ๐ I don't think I can add anymore than Poppy has said, but at least you got an answer here a lot more quickly than the 2 weeks you've been waiting from Universal Credit! They don't always make it straight forward.
I hope you're doing okay yourself, let us know if you do have anymore questions ๐

You're welcome. It's because very often they are very unhelpful and many of them haven't a single clue what they are talking about.
