In the UK generally you would go by the definition given in the equality act.

There is no certification process or register of disabled people in this country.

Hi @Agnia like @AKR I'm wondering who's saying this to you?

For example, is it just someone such as a neighbour being unkind? Is it some official person saying you can't have something like a discount because you can't prove you're disabled?

Hi @Agnia, I think we might be able to best answer this if we have a bit more information about which organisation this is about.

As @AKR asks, who is saying you need such a certificate, and what organisation are they in? When I say who I mean, what role are they.

    my family member

    Hi Agnia,

Do they not believe you use a wheelchair now? I'm sorry your family is so disappointing. Mine also is and it's very painful and lonely, I understand that.

Did you get your needs assessment from the local council?

I'm glad you have posted again 🙂

Because you are strong, because disabled people are strong, Agnia and because the twisted things they said are not true!

People who say such things about one 'one of their own' are not well.

Is it the time of year coming up to…December? (I used to start dreading it in September)

Coming onto the forum is a good move.

Also a disabled person's bus pass (though I can't tell you how or where) and even if you never use it, it is valid photo ID and proof of disability.
