Hello there, I'm new here!
Just wanted to introduce myself and like to meet people who are or have experience in self employment with hearing loss. I have cochlear implant myself and often use mobile phone with friends and family. However I still get quite nervous with strangers and that doesn't help with business. What advice could you give me ?
Thanks in advance

Hi Sam. All good. Getting work via email but still no answer on phone wise. Do you know anyone who has a business and have this barrier?

I know very little about cochlear implants Im afraid. I did find this information though.
Ill ask on twitter and see if others have any experiences that might help you.Scope

Background noise at the call centre is nightmare to hear. If busy to take the phone, is there a way to translate voicemail to txt? I've got iPhone 6 on EE

Hi @icihearyou
I have hearing loss too, and try to avoid phones where possible. Conference calls are particularly inaccessible for me. I prefer to video call on Skype instead. People are much more open to this than they were 5 years ago.
Is this possible in your line of work?
