I think the first single I ever bought was the 7" Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus "We all stand together". Bought at the same time as "Let's go All the way" by Sly Fox. 😆

Hi Chris. Mine was the Specials Too Much Too Young. I'm a major Ska fan and grew up worshipping Terry Hall. Saw the Specials live a couple of times and was in heaven! In the past was a massive gig goer. Love all things Indie.

@Bod1 That's so.cool. So jealous you saw the Specials live. Remember being blown away by Ghost Town,. Must have been around 82/83?. I loved ska music and the whole culture around it. Seems a shame, I think that there doesn't seem to be a current music "culture' for the kids. My kids are into the same things I was into when I was their age.

Yes Chris. I agree a lack of music culture today. I loved my 12 inch vinyl. DM boots, spiky hairstyle. In fact still have all 3. My husband is a spinning instructor and listens to the worst music ever manufactured. I wake up to boom boom boom! I used to love collecting vinyl and displaying sleeves on my walls, reading the NME and Melody Maker, seeing bands at all the big London venues and generally living music.

I will really show my age but luckily I'm not as old as the record. When I was child the Lions used to run an annual Petticoat Lane to raise funds for hospital usually. I was only about four or five and I bought a 78 original recording of Disney's Snow White. For those not old enough or in vinyl (the record) a 78 preceded 33+ and 45 and was the main type of record before the 1960s.

Nina 99 red balloons but only because I broke my friend's copy and had to fork out my pocket money for a new one for him. Personally though was number of the beast Iron Maiden.
