Large PIP payment

in PIP, DLA, ADP and AA

We thought was all sorted for another 3 years. The mandatory reconsideration was approved, standard care and mobility reinstated and back payment received.

However today a large payment of just under £4000 has appeared in my sons account from PIP with no explanation.

Has anyone else had this please? It's a nice surprise but we are very confused.

    I'm afraid you will need to ring PIP on Monday to ask them what it's for and they will tell you. You should also receive letter explaining what it's for at some point. It's not unusual to receive a payment before the letter.

    Thank you. I will do. Our post is very poor at the moment. I just wondered if they can reopen a case after it's been settled.
