Grants
Hi I am currently waiting to be rehoused into suitable accommodation for my disability needs. When moving from a hotel into a new place are there grants that can be applied for for say furniture or carpets etc? Be good to be ahead of myself with these things thanks.

Hi @Will777, here's some info about Disabled Facilities Grants that you can use to make adaptations to your home. They're means-tested and offered by your local authority. Hope that helps 😊

Hey thanks for replying don't need adaptations as they won't move me into a place unless already adapted. Was more concerned about furnishings and carpets etc as can be quite costly.

The only thing that comes to mind is to contact your local Authority to see if they have any funds to help. The Household Support Fund has been extended. Assuming you live in England.
