I suffer from Arthritis in both knees, in my right hip, and now it's in my spine. I feel totally useless, I could'just about " cope with the knees but now it's in my spine I feel like it's game over.I have 2 young daughters, who, rightly so, don't understand what Arthritis can do. I used to be so active, I ran every where, I loved my job collecting recycling, Dow I can barely walk,I also suffer with Bi-polar, I'm incredibly low and in so much pain...

Hi @19BeAu65
Sorry that you are suffering with arthritic pain. I have rheumatoid and osteoporosis arthritis.
Maybe you could ask your doctor to change your medication including painkillers.
As well as medication to control my RA I take Naproxen which isn't strong enough so I am going to ask my rheumatologist if they can prescribe a stronger painkiller.
I have found freeze spray effective for controlling pain, including spinal pain, often for several hours at a time.0 -

Oh sweetie your not alone , I've multiple immune conditions 2 being types of arthritis and yes I've spinal involvement. I to used to be very active and sporty. Over the ears thatas been the hardest thing to come to terms with,I kept my bike for 7 years hoping I'd be able to use it again but sadly that didn't happen. I can't even watch sports on Tv anymore. So I totally know how your feeling. Now I to cope with this have filled my days with other hobbies that don't need to much physical energy . I'm sure you kids have brighter your worst days and have even been helping you with day household tasks. Living alone I've got a assistance dog that's helps me. Please speak to your gp and specialists for better pain management.Maybe they could start you on pain block medication, this has helped me loads. Also if your still very depressed have you antidepressants reviewed as we do become immune to them so they may need adjusting or changing completely. Take care and if you ever wish to chat please message me.
