Oh bless them, we always try to rehome strays too. It's the right thing to do. Hopefully your lil lady has lots of life and love left in her @vikki66 ❤️

And yes I am, alas, a Warhammer nerd. I got back into the hobby last year after a looooong break.

Oh nice, it's always good to meet someone who understands a little bit of what I waffle on about haha. So does he play Space Marines, or Tyranids? I'm mostly in it for the pretty imagery and lore, but I find painting really relaxes me now.
It's a shame things are so expensive, I remember when I started in the hobby many many moons ago, it was lovely and cheap! But creating your own bits to use as battlefield items would be ace. I'm a big fan of the hobbying on a budget channels. 😁

I seem to have a cat living in the garden, sleeping on the garden furniture, he's been here a good while, only about 1 or 2

Is there anyway you could get someone to take him to the vet to see if he/her are chipped .

Also some sort of shelter with straw not blanket as it freezes , 2 of mine was homeless

I'll let you and your son in on a little secret; I've been painting Warhammer since I was 13 (far too many years ago now) and I've never played a single game. I just collect and paint the minis I like the look of. 😉

I really hope he finds the joy of the hobby again soon, the community is really welcoming and can be amazing support. They have a great online community and tonnes of great audiobooks, so he can still feel a part of something, even if going to the local store is still a bit overwhelming. 😊

We have a stray living in our lean-to for the last couple of years. We called him Hagrid, and he has our daughter's Moses basket etc.

The Cats Protection League will pay for a vet to give them the snip, and have them micro-chipped, if you agree to feed them and look after them.

Hagrid is still 100% feral, however, he comes 'home' twice a day for food and sleeps most nights in the basket. When he went missing for a few nights I put out a notice in the area. It turns out that Hagrid was named Stealth by people in the area…as he was sneaking in and taking Their cat's food before we took him on!

This is not a photo of Hagrid, but we found it in a charity shop recently, and it is a good enough likeness, and is much easier to photograph! E xxx

@Elizabeth100 I got way too excited about seeing a cat picture so clicked on it before reading your post, I was very confused 😂 I love that he was named Stealth for stealing cat food! You're so kind to take him on but still allow him his freedom.

This is my gorgeous boy, Copper. He has quite literally got me out of bed in a morning for the last 11 years, usually with a bop on the head so he gets fed 😂

Oh he's so cute @gymmonster! What a great first post on the community. We're always very open to pet pics 😊

Up on till recently I had four cats but sadly my oldest cat, aged around about thirty five, sooty, left us for pastures greener with endless catnip. My other cats are Dexter, Midnight and Rogan.

This is Angel I had her for 15 years. She was a rescue. She passed away 16 months ago. I still miss her terribly. Eventually I hope to get another cat when the time is right.

@vikki66 You're so kind to look after this cat, especially as you have your own issue going on at the moment. You might be feeding her for a little while yet. Maybe feed her, then leave her to it for a day or two, and see how she reacts. If she's looking for a cuddle she might let you know. It's tricky, you want to give the cat some attention, but she isn't signalling whether she want you to go or stay! Either way, she appreciates the food, and might come out to say hello when she realises that her owner is away for a while. Best of luck with the cat, and everything else too, best wishes, E xxx

This is my cat star. She was my daughter in-laws cat , which I took on when they lived in s property not allowed cats. I used to have another which was my sons called Alfie who looks like the beautiful first cat posted on here. Unfortunately we lost him a couple of years ago.

I'm nicknamed nana Star by my beautiful granddaughters. ( they then know which nana they are talking about.)
