Hi to all. I'm a newbie. I have MS, Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS/Hughes Syndrome), Bipolar type 2, Chronic Fatigue, Chronic Migraines, Endometriosis (had a total abdominal hysterectomy, but didn't clear it all) and social anxiety with panic attacks. So, quite a bit to cope with! I have two young children, dd aged 4 and ds almost 6. I am separated from, but still living with my husband of 5 years (known each other for 23 years). I'm absolutely heartbroken. I'm going through this, as well as trying to cope with my current MS relapse. I'm looking forward to "meeting" you all and having some support xxx

@Sam_Scope Thank you. I don't have much support. Especially support from people who understand what I'm going through. I do have the option of getting some respite at a place called Maytree for 5 days, as I'm feeling very suicidal and they specialise in that. I've emailed them and I'm ringing them later today to sort things out. The only thing is, I'd have to leave my babies behind for 5 days and I'm not sure whether I can do that xxx

Oh, I am really sorry to hear this @Clareturk but you are doing amazingly well to be speaking to Maytree and asking for support. Keep on talking to them and be open to their help.
I can understand you being worried about staying away from your children for a few days but if that means you can get some rest, help and support then maybe it would be a good thing?
I have three kids and I always think that if Im not happy then that passes onto my kids, and so I can make my happiness and medical needs a priority because I know it benefits them too.

I am definitely open to going there. I'm just a little worried that my husband will use it against me to get custody of the kids. The only up side is, if I self admit myself to the hospital for safety, then social services get involved and it would be on record, but if I went to Maytree then it would be totally confidential and wouldn't stay on any records x

Social services involvement is not always a bad thing though, they are there to support families not to divide them. I hope you get all the support and help that you need.Scope
