Hi, my name is Dee1973! Am I entitled to back pay?
hi I have just been awarded lcwra my last sick note was handed in 27fh November 2020 am I entitled to any back pay? I waited all that time before I got a telephone assessment which was eventually in September 2024

Hi, have you really been waiting 4 years for a WCA?
If you haven't handed in any fit notes since 2020 then generally you wouldn't be entitled to the back pay. The dates on the fit notes must all be consecutive without any gaps up to the WCA.
Though this does seem like an unusual case so you may be able to challenge it. Do you know why it's taken so long?

I was on limited capability but not lcwra and my last sick note was in 2020 last assessment was bk then too

If the below is correct:
LCW following a WCA in 2020
LCWRA following a WCA in 2024.
No backpay will be owed.
Your LCWRA element will be applicable from the date of the 2024 WCA decision.

Sounds like this was a review. If it was started by UC then your extra money will be from the assessment period in which the decision was made. No money is owed.
