UC Claim review
I am booked for a phone call claim review on Wednesday. I have checked online and people have said they will ask for bank statements, is this always the case?
Will they be checked to see if I pay my rent? I provided my tenancy agreement and everything was approved however due to my disabilities this affects how I am able to deal with money and so my mum pays the rent from her account every month to ensure it is paid but also so I still have some sense of freedom with my own bank account that she doesn’t have to access to pay my rent and check it’s paid. Will this be a problem for my claim review? It is my name on the tenancy.

Yes, they usually ask for 4 months of bank statements. Your mum paying the rent shouldn't be an issue, if they ask just explain to them.

thanks Poppy. How will I prove that the rent is being paid though? I don’t want to ask my mum for bank statements. I dont transfer the amount to her in full, I will usually just buy things for her through out the month because she pays the rent if that makes sense?
