Statement of reasoning for PIP

So back in July I won my appeal for PIp so after eating 18 mths thought it was over but DWP dug there heels and have requested statement of reasons. Has any had any experience with this I E how long it takes and is it a bad thing ? Many thanks

    I have the same time frame and won and asked for the same . I heard it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad thing x

    Hey @lifetough23, I wouldn't worry too much about replying to yourself! It happens.

    A statement of reasons means the person making the request wants to see a detailed explanation of the reasons behind the tribunal decision. It is something either side can do. I don't want to worry you too much, but it can be the first step towards an Upper Tribunal. Did you receive any support from an advocate or adviser for your tribunal? If so I would go back to them about this if they do not yet know, or I would look into finding an advocate or adviser. Contacting your local citizen's advice can be a good first place to look.

    Thank you @Jimm_Scope yes apparently quite common! Yes I have someone very good from advice centre but making me feel so stressed and anxious x how often do they go upper I wonder? X

    I unfortunately don't know the stats for that @lifetough23, though given tribunal outcomes are often reported I am sure someone could figure it out.

    It's not as common as you think it is. It's even less common for them to appeal the decision.
