Changes to W.C.A
I've just seen on the news on BBC Keir Starmer talking about getting long term sick back into work. Apparently he thinks that all people claiming benefits should have to look for work, it seems regardless of your illness. Rachael Reeeves has also spoken about how she plans tp change the W.C.A to get more long term sick back into work, this terrifies me as I suffer with really bad mental health issues and P.T.S.D. I'm wondering who exactly this would affect, surely they can't force everyone back into work who are just too poorly to do so, suerly it would be too wreckless and dangerous? Please don't say it's just more speculaton, I get the whole don't look at stuff online etc, Iv'e actually seen them talking about it on TV,he was saying these thing after the Labout Conference to a BBC journalist. It seems like they are planning on keeping all the torie policies on benefits to reduce the welfare bill wiyjout a thought for peoples mental health being made worse.

Hello @charlie72
I understand your concerns; it’s a difficult topic and playing on the minds of a lot of people at the moment.
It is important to remember that discussions like these often evolve and won't necessarily lead directly into policy change.
While there may be intentions to encourage some people back to work, there are also many safeguards in place to protect those who are unable to work. There are also many organisations, like Scope, who push back against policies that could harm vulnerable people.
It’s okay to feel worried, but know that you’re not alone in this, and there are many voices working to ensure mental health is considered in these discussions. If you need support or someone to talk to, we're here for you.
