UC help
hello I had a appointee already on uc but they said they need to verify the appointee in the jobcentre I said I no longer need one because my family friends help me with everything I need help with but they said this do I need to go to this appointment
I cannot cancel this appointment because your appointee needs to be verified because if not it can affect your claim. However, I have rebooked your appointment today

Do you still have contact with your previous appointee? You should ask them to contact the Job Centre and confirm that you no longer need the appointee.
They can't just take your word for it as it could be a safety issue in some cases.

Ok. That does make the situation more difficult. I wonder if one of your current family & friends could contact the Job Centre and confirm that you no longer need the appointee? I just don't think they'll be able to take your word for it unfortunately.
