Hi, my name is social_moth!
Hi, I'm a mum and artist living in England. I'm currently struggling with loneliness which I attribute to my weird brain and would like to chat about anything really :) I enjoy being creative, reading, gardening and I love cats.

Hi @social_moth π I'm new here too. It seems to be a friendly forum so hopefully we'll meet some new friends! Moths are awesome, very underrated. Do you have a cat? I have a rescue cat, she's 10 years old and my best friend.

Hello and welcome @social_moth π I think itβs wonderful that youβre reaching out and I hope to see you around the community. What are you reading at the moment? Iβm always looking for new book recommendations.
We have lots of reading and gardening fans on here and you'll find many of us with a soft spot for cats! Have you seen our cat's discussion? Looking forward to hearing more from you. π

Hello @social_moth, since you mentioned you like cats I thought I'd share a picture of my cat Suki!
What kind of creative things do you enjoy doing?

Hi, sorry it's been a little while since I wrote this. I've been really busy. We have two black cats, we'll they're 6 month old kittens from different litters. They get on really well these days πββ¬πββ¬ Paul - because I like giving cats "people" names and Bobo because he was called Bobo when he came to us and my children insisted that we didn't call him Russel or something "weird" π

Hi, it's been a few weeks since I wrote this and I haven't read much lately. I have been reading the Discworld series again as I first started reading them as a teenager. It's like reading them all over again as I actually understand the puns now. Also I read what was in the library back then, then what I could afford secondhand, whereas now I can read them in order. I've just read The Colour of Magic and started The Light Fantastic. I read a lot of fantasy and Sci Fi so I'm rubbish at recommending things from other genres.

Hi, Suki is adorable π Creativity-wise - I can already crochet really well and I'm teaching myself knitting right now. I also like to embroider and sew but I've never been able to afford a sewing machine. I finally got one for my birthday off my partner so I've been teaching myself to sew small things. Someone gave me a gingerbread garland kit on a freebie page so I'm going to make that tomorrow. Hopefully one day I can make clothes - I've already done pattern drafting and sewing courses but without a machine I couldn't do much to practice. Every time I saved enough to get a decent one, something else came up!
