Hi all, thanks for accepting me to the group. 49 years of age with the 50 fast approaching π 4 great kids that who dont like being called kids! Currently I have a few things going on in my life medically, Crohn's Disease, COPD, stoma warriors membership, abdominal seton suture, benefits, UC, sickness..LCWRA, Adult Disability Payment (Scotland) care & mobility, I'm hoping to go back to work in some capacity soon as waiting on more surgery that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon.
I usually apply common sense to issues but sometimes have little doubt - "When you think you know everything, think again" which brings me to joining the group, so I can glean some informed answers in navigating the twist & turns of Disability in life.
Thank you π

Hi and a very warm welcome to you.

Hey @chic75, welcome to the community π You certainly do have a lot going on! It can be difficult keeping up with all of it. I also have Crohns disease so I can empathise with the struggles there. I've been incredibly lucky to so far avoid surgery (got very close one time though!).
I think that motto, I don't know if it's a motto sorry, that saying "When you think you know everything, think again", is certainly a good one to apply in many cases!

@Jimm_Scope Thanks, yeah it is a lot going on but it's the waiting, 2 years with the abscess with a wait & see if it misbehaves lol. Treatment is more advanced now so hopefully your Crohn's can be dealt with medically, I remember when biological were under trials all those years ago & finally we have them here! Thank you & try keep your stress down π

That quote I used, lifted it from somewhere & changed the wording slightly- along the lines of "You think you know everything, then you nothing" I found it can be humblingπ
