So saying you have to have psychiatrist when get to see one ?? Hospital admissions surly they would understand its impossible to get these services

Although i wouldnt go by that. I meet the criteria for a few different things outlined on the site which would put me in this group but I didnt automatically get higher rate of PIP (well not for daily living anyway)
They have these rules and criteria but at the end of the day it all depends on the people who are dealing with your claim

Well I meet some bpd bdd I have been with cmht over the years but impossible to see psychiatrist and no hospital stays and total isolation but will labour change this ?

Second attempt on contacting DWP today to try and sort out my daughters ESA??? One says supported the other says contribution??

I think you could get a referral from your GP and that you are waiting for an appointment that would count?

"Where a claimant is considered likely to meet the criteria for the Severe Disability Group, a short form will be sent to their specialist clinician."
It's not something you can apply for, seems DWP led in terms of looking for those who might be eligible, and no updates have been given since April when the DWP began testing the group.
This discussion was probably triggered by an opinion piece on Twitter.

Hi. May I just ask what it is you are trying to sort. I’m on ESA contribution based but in support group. I’m just wondering what you mean by supported and if I can help with your query.
ESA is usually income based. But if you have enough contributions over the years it will be done on contributions.0 -

My daughter worked in 2013 till 2016 and received Access to Work contributions. Her award dated Oct 2023 changed to contribution based and income related ESA. A new one dated Jan 2024 no longer had that information on it. I believe they have miscalculated her award.

I am not concerned about this. It's not been fully rolled out yet.
However I was on indefinite dla, so it would make sense to increase the award and do a light touch.
