ND Deperate for help with PIP MR form filling.

How can I get help for the PIP MR forms. I have searched and searched and I'm always directed to guides online. Being ND among my other issues (awaiting ASD assessment too), the whole process is a massive heap of papers and confusion and I'm finding it completely overwhelming. I can't get organised, my mind is erratic and I can't get started. I feel like I'm sinking. I feel they totally disregarded my detailed input of how all the individual issues impact my life daily. They had my doctors responses which were very matter if dact and not accurate. Just the problem, not the impacts of the problems. Some were listed without how they have now progressed. My situation is worse now as I have further surgery in a few weeks. Due to the nature of the operation I won't be able to fill in any form for quite some time: months.

Where can I get help please itnis very late as I lost the letter, but withing 13 months which is Jan 25? I don't do well with face to face. And the nature of my difficulties would cause shame and embarrassment especially sitting with a stranger (of either sex).

I'm lost.

DWP advised me start a new claim while I do the MR. However, this can not be done online, I have yo write it (which I can't easily do). This I was told was because I had already had a digital application and I can not do another one. This has to be a new claim but written.

The task is impossible for me and time is running out.

A local organisation might be able to help via telephone

If you wanted to do a new claim, they can write on the forms for you.

I would say though there is no need for shame or embarrassment, the people who offer welfare support have heard it all, many times over and much worse things than you would ever tell them.

Hi @NDME, as someone who is also neurodiverse I understand where you are coming from. I really struggled with PIP forms and getting the MR in.

If it makes it easier and you have access to a computer, you can type up answers to the PIP form questions and then print them off and send them to the DWP. Just make sure that it is clear where each question is being answered.

You can also type up and print off the MR as well if that makes it easier.

While I would not normally recommend it. I have found that some AI tools can be helpful for starting to write. I do not recommend just copy and pasting what an AI outputs, because the AI doesn't know how to describe how your conditions affect you and it should be in your own words. But it can be a tool from which to build the MR from.

Thank you @Jimm_Scope A very good suggestion. I will print this out too.

I will try and sit down over the weekend and treat Monday as a deadline. 🤞🏼 In my head, all answers or explanations start off well, and very quickly have branches and branches on the branches of how my mind tries to answer the question. This is a huge problem for me. I can't stick to a straight line or simple answer no matter how much I try. It quickly turns into a spaghetti answer. Everything impacts everything else. I just shut down.

I would just like to say a quick thank you for the links. I found someone to help me. I don't necessarily have any expectations but it is a huge relief the the heavy weight on my bouncing mind. I felt like I was carrying a building on my shoulders and now I'm just carrying a donkey.

My advisor was very patient with me on the phone and will 🤞🏼 take the reigns and complete the paperwork in a way that makes sense.

    🤗
