Diverticular disease and PIP

I’ve joined because on googling Diverticulitis and PIP/ESA, the site came up and looks informative. I’ve recently undergone colonoscopies and been diagnosed with Diverticular disease. It is the reason I’ve had bouts of stomach cramps and unpredictable bowel movements. It had been severely impinging on my freedom to spontaneously go out, or commit to my working days, in case of a flare up. I’ve applied for PIP as my income has dropped from paid employment to SSP while I’m currently signed off sick. Just wondering if others have made successful claims for this illness. I also suffer from long term Anxiety Disorder, upon which I based the claim. Thanks.

Hi @whiteyanne, and a warm welcome to the community!

I'm tagging in @valerie and @BillyNolan378 who have both discussed Diverticular disease on the community in the past, to see if they can advise. If we can be of any assistance in the meantime do let us know, and all the best with your PIP application!

I would love to hear what the answer to @whiteyanne question was? I am in a similar position, however not signed off sick as can still function and attend work post-covid WFH arrangements. I do have office days, that I have been able to attend, under duress.

This thread is from 2018 so you probably won't hear from the OP.
